doulos (δοῦλος)

doulos (δοῦλος)

slave; bondservant; one who belongs to another and lives under his authority.

The word doulos (δοῦλος) in the New Testament is often translated as “servant” or “bondservant,” yet its fuller meaning is “slave,” referring to someone who belongs completely to another. Scripture uses this term to describe believers as those who willingly belong to Christ, living under His lordship and for His purposes.

Doulos exists to help believers understand and live out this calling in everyday life. In a culture where wholehearted obedience to Christ can feel difficult and countercultural, our goal is to encourage faithful discipleship through biblical teaching and practical application.

Through thoughtful articles, devotionals, and practical resources, we seek to equip Christians to live each day as devoted servants of Jesus, growing in faith and obedience as they follow Him.
